We’re super excited to share the latest look book instalment as our alter ego finds herself in a dusty old town somewhere in the Los Angeles desert. Dawn meets high noon, and high noon wanders along and embraces sunset, and so the many illuminated faces of the desert flicker and shift and come to life.
This season’s hand drawn Desert Wanderer print is a manifestation of all that we love about the desert. Long lost feathers, fallen from a passing eagle, the Thunderbird, it is said, is capable of creating storms and thundering while it flies, pulling the clouds together with the flapping of it’s wings, the desert rose and the bull skull – all re-occurring imagery in our Alter Ego’s wildest dreams.
Graham Dunn and Kelley Ash brought our dreams to life in this look book, and that’s no mean feat when your dreams are as vivid as ours. Kelley looks at home in this dusty old town, The bold reds and burnt oranges of our Desert Wanderer print set against soft nudes and whites, mimicking the contrasts of the desert.
Graham had his vintage 8mm film camera on hand and captured some of the movement and magic of the day and put the images together with a Mt Warning tune ‘Youth Bird’ – hope you love the little clip.
We’re excited to say that this lookbook is only the first installment of our Spring/Summer collection, so stay tuned for further look books set to drop in the coming months…
