We are loving this gorgeous autumn shoot from our New Zealand stockist  Tosca & Salome and t’s given us so much inspiration for layering our favourite pieces throughout the seasons that we’ll be welcoming those brisk mornings, early sunsets, and cold evenings by the fire!

Shot down in the stunning Central Plateau in NZ, we started with the sunrise over the vast serene Lake Taupo and our road trip took us on a journey from Trout Pools, to beautiful pine forests and through into the incredible Tongariro National Park.  It was a few days of such huge differences in the seasons! From 4 hourly rain and hail, to burning sun on our skins – then the strongest wind over the snow capped mountains that hit us with full force over the lake. I think it really showed the seasons here and I was so thrilled so show how these pieces are at home here within 4 seasons in one day. We loved reimagining the Spell garments through the changes in temperature; layering a long sleeved tee under a dress, throwing on a big cosy jacket or a pair of knee high socks and winter boots.

My favourite part of the shoot was in the tussocks below Mount Ruapehu – We were all starting to get so dead tired, Bee picked up some wonderful purple flowers amongst the Desert Road scenery, the sky clouded over and suddenly a beautiful kind of magic began.
